The Bonbori Table Lamp by Brokis is a creation from Japanese designer Fumie Shubata. Inspired by the traditional paper lamps lining the pathway to shrines and temples during the annual paddy harvest festivals in Japan. Translated from Japanese, Bonbori not only refers to this traditional form of lighting but also describes soft light that comes from within a snowy cave. With a simple silhouette, the handblown glass shade is elegantly crafted from multiple layers of carefully molded glass, lending spaces a soft, ambient touch.
