Chandeliers are a timeless addition to any home, offering both style and function. Whether installed above a kitchen island, a dining table, or in a hallway, Chandelier can transform your space. At Metavaya, we want you to feel confident throughout the installation process. Follow our step-by-step guide, and you’ll soon enjoy a beautifully illuminated room!
Step 1: Preparation
Before starting, ensure you have all the tools and follow safety protocols.
Tools You’ll Need:
Ladder, pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers, power drill(optional), a drill bit(optional)

Safety First:
Turn Off Power: Shut off power at the breaker panel for the room you’re working in.
Test for Power: Use a voltage tester on the wires or fixture to confirm no current is flowing.
Remove the Old Fixture: Carefully unscrew and disconnect the existing light. Retain screws or mounting hardware, as they may be helpful for the new fixture.

Step 2: Assemble the Chandelier
Lay out all parts and assemble your fixture according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Organize Components: Spread all parts on a flat surface for easy access.
Pre-Assemble Parts: Attach rods, chains, or decorative elements, and set the hanging height to your preference.
Secure Decorations: Attach shades, crystals, or other decorative elements while on the ground to simplify installation.

Step 3: Install the Mounting Bracket
The mounting bracket is vital for a stable and secure fixture.
Attach the Bracket: Secure it to the ceiling junction box using screws provided.
Check Stability: Gently pull on the bracket to ensure it’s firmly in place. For heavier fixtures, use a fan brace or additional support.

Step 4: Connect the Wiring
Wiring is a crucial step—take care to follow these guidelines:
Identify Wires:
Black: Live/hot wire
White: Neutral wire
Green/Bare Copper: Ground wire
Wiring Instructions:
Ground Wire: Connect the pendant’s ground wire to the junction box’s ground wire and secure with a connector.
Neutral Wires: Twist the white wires together and secure with a wire connector.
Live Wires: Connect the black wires and secure them.
Double-Check Connections: Tug each connection gently to ensure they are secure and no bare wires are exposed.
Tip: If you’re unsure about wiring, consult a licensed electrician.

Step 5: Attach the Chandelier
Mount your fixture onto the bracket.
Secure the Fixture: Align the pendant with the mounting bracket and use screws or nuts to fasten it.
Adjust Alignment: Check that the pendant hangs level and at the correct height before tightening fully.

Step 6: Finalize Setup
Add the finishing touches to your fixture.
Insert Bulbs: Use the recommended wattage and type for your Chandelier.
Attach Shades or Covers: Secure any shades or covers not attached earlier.
Stability Check: Ensure all components are secure and the fixture hangs level.

Step 7: Test Your Light
Restore power and enjoy your new lighting!
Restore Power: Switch the breaker back on.
Flip the Switch: Turn on the Chandelier to check functionality.
Make Final Adjustments: Step back to assess height and alignment, and make any necessary tweaks.
Additional Tips for Chandelier Installation
Optimal Heights:

Support for Heavy Fixtures:
Ensure your ceiling junction box and bracket can support the pendant’s weight. For heavy fixtures, use additional reinforcement like a fan brace.
Professional Assistance:
If you’re unsure about wiring or want to ensure compliance with building codes, hire a licensed electrician for peace of mind.
Step 8: Check
Congratulation, you have completed the installation for your chandelier! One last thing to do is to check it from a distant just to make sure that the chandelier is leveled and at proper height. Make additional small adjustment as needed. After ensuring safety, you can turn on your house’s power switch and the light switch for the chandelier. Now you can enjoy the beautiful chandelier that you just installed for your home.
We hope this blog will be able to provide you an overall view about the chandelier’s installation process as well as step by step guidance when you are doing the installation. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us and we are always here to help!

Four panels of hammered amber glass stand on a slim gold cylinder, each one resting on a single pin at the top and bottom. Nothing is glued and nothing is hidden. Switched on, the dimpled surface breaks the bulb into dozens of small warm highlights rather than one bright point — a lamp to sit beside, not to read under.

LIGHTS OFFLIGHTS ON
Unlit, the panels read as flat honey-coloured glass with a sculptural gold frame. Switched on, every dimple becomes its own small source and the lamp turns into a cluster of warm highlights rather than a single glare.
Deep honey-amber glass against brushed gold.
Dozens of small highlights through the hammered surface.
No bulb is included, and the one you choose changes the lamp completely. 3000K warm white is what the amber was formulated around.
Hammered glass cannot be clamped — press it into a channel and the uneven surface loads three or four high points until the panel cracks. So nothing clamps it.

Each panel seats on a turned pin at the top and bottom. No adhesive touches the glass, and the fixing is part of how the lamp looks.

Set on a square frame, the lamp has no single front. Walk past and the highlights slide across the dimples, one panel darkening as the next catches the bulb.

The base is kept narrow so the glass reads as the whole object, and weighted so a 31 cm lamp stays put when the cord is tugged.
The amber is melted into the batch rather than sprayed on the surface, which is why a chipped edge is amber all the way through.

Warm amber glass against a warm metal finish — no cool note anywhere in the palette. Every dimple adds a different reflection as the light around it changes.
Dimples are pressed while the glass is still hot, so no two panels carry the same pattern of highlights.
Corner posts, cross bars and the cylinder base share one warm finish, framing the amber without competing with it.
Each panel rests on two pins rather than being clamped or glued, so the glass is never under load and can be replaced on its own.
Less surface than a hardcover book. It fits the narrow spots where a full-size lamp will not.
Designed to hold its own as an object, whether the lamp is switched on or off.
Seventeen centimetres square. It goes where a full-size lamp cannot, and it is usually the last light left on.

Leaves room for a book, a glass and a phone.

A second light beside the sofa once the ceiling light goes off.

The one light you leave burning when you go out.

Clears a standard 30 cm shelf opening with headroom.

Warm corner light next to a cooler task lamp.

Amber reads well against bottles, brass and dark wood.

Plug in and go — no wiring, no electrician, no drilling.
Hand-worked panels and a hand-assembled frame give this lamp its character — and the small variations that come with it.

Amber is melted into the batch, not sprayed on afterwards.

The hot glass is rolled out into an even sheet.

The dimpled texture is pressed in while the sheet is still soft.

Cooled panels are cut, softened at the corners and seated on their pins.
Trapped as the sheet is rolled.
Left where the texture was pressed.
Slight differences in tone and thickness.
Dia 17 cm × H 31 cm (Ø 6.7″ × H 12.2″). The footprint is a 17 × 17 cm square.
About a third of a standard nightstand. Leave a few centimetres clear behind it so the back panel can throw light onto the wall.
At 31 cm tall it clears a standard 30–35 cm shelf opening in most cases. Measure first if your shelving is a fitted unit.

Each panel is held by a pin at the top and bottom rather than glued, so a single panel can be swapped without replacing the lamp. Message us if you ever need one.
Very close, but the texture is pressed by hand while the glass is hot, so the dimple pattern and the depth of the amber vary slightly from panel to panel.
An E26 / E27 bulb at 3000K warm white — 2700K if you want it deeper. A clear filament bulb throws bright points through every dimple; a frosted bulb gives one even sheet of amber. 4000K and cooler drains the gold out of the glass.
Bulb preference is personal and glass bulbs rarely survive international shipping. Buying locally gets you the right fitting, the right brightness and no broken glass in the box.
Amber glass absorbs a good share of the output, so treat it as a mood light rather than a reading lamp. A 6–8W LED, roughly 60W equivalent, is the usual choice.
Not as supplied. Fit a dimmable bulb and use a plug-in or in-line dimmer, and you control the level.
Choose US, UK, AU or EU at checkout, or leave it and we fit the plug for your shipping address.
Unplug the lamp and let the bulb cool, then wipe the panels with a soft dry cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which dull both the glass and the gold finish.
